Founded in 1976 by Lilo & Gary Klein, The Canine Spa is supported with years of industry experience. Before building, the couple spent countless volunteer hours at reputable kennels learning the fine points of professional animal care, including behavioral assessment, dietary certification, humane officer training, and many consultations with veterinarians and professional trainers. Our building was designed first and foremost for the animals' safety and for ease of sanitizing the entire facility. We were fortunate to have had the help of those professionals like Dr. Charles Jenkins DVM and Herman Salk DVM and many others to thank for visualizing this idea.
We have been chosen by several law enforcement agencies for exclusive care of their K9 officers, as well as by the Maricopa County Sherrif's K9 Unit when they attended a month-long training in the valley here. We enjoy serving those who serve us so faithfully.
Our all-indoor, climate controlled facility providing 24-hour care was the first, and remains the largest of its kind here in the Desert. Our commitment, experience, and old-fashioned values have established a business relationship with our clientele to last a lifetime-- in dog years of course!
